From 18 November 2025 Companies House identity verification will be required for new directors and persons with significant control (PSCs), existing directors and PSCs and members of a limited liability partnership. The service uses the Gov.uk One Login.
The date by which a person needs to verify their identity will depend on their role and when they started it. For example, directors will need to provide their personal identity code when they file their first confirmation statement after 18 November 2025.
